Some windows phone supports adding SD card for expanded storage. Windows phone also allows you to save your music, videos, pictures etc in the SD card automatically.

  • Navigate to settings.
  • Tap on “phone storage”.
  • You will see both the phone and SD card (if you have one) with the memory it has consumed.
  • Tapping on the “phone memory” or “SD card” will open up a page showing the break down of the memory consumed.
  • To change the storage location from phone to SD card or vice versa, tap on the option below “Store new music + videos on” or “Store new pictures on” based on your need.
  • Select the “SD card”.

Note that your existing pictures / music / videos will not be moved based on your change, the changes will be affected only for the newer ones.
